PGA WEST is getting the party going before, during, and after each night of The American Express ™ 2024 Tournament and Concert Series!
Whether you’re of a certain age (or not), you may know that for several years legendary entertainer/comedian Bob Hope served as the face and name of this renowned golf tournament. With a twist on his signature song “Thanks for the Memory,” we’re taking a page from his playbook and a play on Hope’s iconic “The Road To…” movies to create new tournament memories!
On Friday, January 19 and Saturday, January 20, 2024, Ernie’s Bar & Grill in the PGA WEST® Tournament Clubhouse will play host to The Road to Nashville: An Evening with Mark Taylor, an epic pre-party and live concert event featuring Nashville-based country artist Mark Taylor. Taylor will perform both evenings onstage on the Ernie’s Bar & Grill stage after the Keith Urban and Train concerts.
As a vocalist and songwriter, Taylor is creating a sensation in the country music world. He’s already opened for country stars Big & Rich, Bryan White, Jon Pardi, Joe Nichols, and other top country artists, played major country music festivals, and toured nationwide with his band.
His most recent release “Dust Off That Dirt” has already reached a quarter of a million streams on Spotify and he’s received national and international airplay. An accomplished songwriter, he’s written songs for artists including Amii Stewart, Hayley Payne, and Whey Jennings (Waylon’s grandson).
What’s more, Taylor has partnered with Cali Distillery to launch his signature Steel String Whiskey and partygoers will be treated to a complimentary whiskey tasting during this special event.
PGA WEST Executive Chef Herve Glin is preparing spectacular menus for both nights. Friday night January 19 will feature a sushi station (4-6 p.m.) Starting at 7:30 p.m., culinary offerings will include generous passed hors d’oeuvres, and an extensive, multicourse buffet featuring entrees of Smoked Pomegranate Molasses Brisket and Seared Salmon with Brown Butter Hollandaise.
On Saturday, January 20, guests will also enjoy a sushi station, passed hors d’oeuvres, Southern BBQ inspired buffet with Chef Glin’s creative spin on waffles and chicken, baby back ribs, beef tenderloin and more.
Likewise, The Road to Nashville: An Evening with Mark Taylor includes a fully hosted mid-tier bar selection with UNLIMITED beer, wine and cocktails from 4-10 p.m. both nights.
The ticket price is $250 per person per night (inclusive of 20% service charge and tax), which includes all food and beverages detailed above, Mark Taylor live concert, and DJ spinning tunes pre- and post-concert from 9-10 p.m.
Doors open at Ernie’s Bar & Grill at 4 p.m. each afternoon for this special event. Mark Taylor takes the stage at 7 p.m.
