The excitement was palpable at PGA WEST® this past May 9 and 10 when golfers took to the PGA WEST® Nicklaus Tournament Course for a Barstool Classic signature golf event. The tournament is one of a series of golf events throughout the year that culminates in the Barstool Classic Championship in November.
The May 9-10 golf tournament featured 54 two-person teams playing Four-Ball at each one-day event. Both golf days included warm-up/breakfast, various competitions, lunch and drinks courtesy of Truly Hard Seltzer, the event’s title sponsor. Once scorecards were in, everyone gathered for the fun, high-energy wrap-up of the Truly putting contest, followed by the announcement of the day’s winners.
Golfers also got the chance to meet the hosts of “Fore Play,” Barstool Sports’ popular podcast.
“We’re always looking for top tier courses that have a reputation of being a great place to play,” says Justin Mancini, the live events coordinator for Barstool Sports. “PGA WEST checks all those boxes and their staff are very helpful and supportive of what we do.”
