Geoff Dean, Player Development Director, to Compete in 2024 PGA Professional Championship



Get ready to follow PGA WEST® Director of Player Development Geoff Dean as he gears up to compete in this year’s prestigious PGA Professional Championship


The 2024 Championship is set to take place at the new PGA golf facility, Fields Ranch at PGA Frisco, in Frisco, Texas from April 28 to May 1, 2024. Ths tournament stands as one of the most prestigious events in U.S golf, gathering top PGA Club professionals from across the nation who have qualified through rigorous competitions.

 

Over 300 professionals will vie for the coveted title and substantial rewards the Championship offers: The winner not only claims a prize of over $60,000 but also earns six PGA TOUR exemptions for the following year.

 

The top 20 finishers secure a spot in the 2024 PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club, where they will compete against some of the world’s best PGA TOUR professionals. Notably, the PGA Professional Championship launched the start of Michael Block’s meteoric rise, earning him a spot in the 2023 PGA Championship.

 

In addition, the top 10 players will qualify for the PGA Cup Team, akin to the Ryder Cup team for PGA professionals, to compete against the top 10 European Club professionals later this year.

 

“This event is like our ‘Masters’ golf tournament and I’m really honored to represent PGA WEST® as a competitor in the field,” says Dean.
